Since version 2.1.0 (released October 31st, 2018) all shortcodes from Apollo13 Framework are now available as Elementor widgets. That means no more writing shortcode by hand and lurking into documentation for all available parameters – isn’t this great?
Thanks to this we were able to rebuild all Designs(demos) for Rife Theme without using a single shortcode. Now everything is easy to drag & drop and edit.
Where to find new widgets
All Widgets can be used if you will update Rife Free/Pro theme to version 2.1.0 and Apollo13 Framework Extensions plugin to 1.5.0.
After this widgets can be found in Elementor in Apollo13 Framework Extensions widgets group.
How to use new widgets?
As it was with shortcodes, all these widgets depends on our theme being active to work at all.
You also must remember that in most cases these widgets are “shortcuts” to use theme features in your content. Let’s talk about each widget:
Theme Social icons
It inserts social icons in your content. However, icons used there are still defined in theme settings. In the widget, you can select colors on normal and hover states.
Theme Slider, Theme Scroller & Theme Gallery
To edit photos/videos in the slider/scroller/gallery you still have to go to your album/work and manage them there.
For now, these widgets use the same options as respective shortcodes for same features. However, it is a good start for adding more options, so if you are missing any important option, please let us know!
Theme Scroller is only available in Rife Pro, and when used in Rife Free it will fallback to Slider.
Theme Post List
This widget uses layouts for each post type(post, albums, works) that are set in theme setting. Still it has all settings available that were in post-list shortcode.
Missing Writing effect?
Writing effect widget is already added in our other plugin. To use it, please Install Rife Elementor Extension plugin. Next, it can be found in Basic widgets group named as Writing Effect Headline.
That is why we didn’t want to duplicate it in a plugin that only works with our themes. Also, we plan to add more theme independent widgets in future to Rife Elementor Extension plugin + of course new Elementor templates.
