We want to announce to you new shortcodes in theme, that will give you more freedom and power in creating impressive content. You can now use them on any page/post/work that you want.
For the last 2 months, we were working hard on making our theme more independent from some plugins & custom post type structure. Before version 1.6 you could use certain features of theme only in dedicated post types or places. However, now it has all changed.
Thanks to this you are no longer bound to using any page builder plugin – you can use what you like the best, and what gives you the most flexibility.
New Shortcodes
Album slider
For a long time, Album slider was exclusive to album post type. Many of you wanted to use it in more ways, like being able to add it to the page and add more text content around it.
With new shortcode, you will finally are able to do it.
Scroller
Scroller is an impressive effect of showing photos that can be scrolled vertically – that is standard. However in our theme, we have the option to enhance it with parallax effect, what just look DOPE!
Although Scroller is in our themes only since version 1.4, you also wanted to use it in a more flexible way. So here you go!
Writing effect
It is in theme since its release. I don’t know why it took us so much time to make it more flexible. Probably no one was screaming loud enough š
With new shortcode, you can now use it where ever you want, not only in headings like it was in the past.
Posts list
Posts list were possible to use with external plugins, however, they never looked as they were set in theme. Now they will!
Shortcode uses theme settings to display posts, albums, works or people. Now your layout will be consistent.

Why shortcodes?
We decided to use shortcodes cause they are universal, and no matter what plugin you will use for building your content, they will always work.
What is more, now when Gutenberg is coming up with WordPress 5.0 it is also the safest choice as Gutenberg will support shortcodes.
However, all that doesn’t mean that we don’t think about the more in-depth integration of these shortcodes in page builder plugins.
With time we want to make use of these elements much easier.

Update: other Apollo13 Framework Themes(FatMoon, PhotoProof, OneLander, etc.) also now have updated rewritten documentation.
Now it is more clear for you and easier to expand for us, what is very important. Thanks to this, it will be more useful and more up to date, what is usually a problem with documentation š
